Post task reflection

In my task I enjoyed going to the dairy farm nature park the most as I have never been there before and it was very peaceful, there was only me and another person there.

It was difficult to find people to interview as it was late morning and it had just rained so there was not many people to interview at the landmarks.

If I could change something I would have gone to the places in the evening as there would be more people then.

What used to be blocks of HDB flats and two large wet markets is now a field for residents to fly kites, play soccer and walk the dogs. But it to will not be there for long. There is development going to be there, a new school and a shopping centre.

Rail Mall

Rail mall is a mini shopping mall located in hillview, it is named after the railway track that passes by it. Rail Mall is a very special mall as the population in Hillview is too small to have a few malls specialising in different things so rail mall has a bit of everything. It has bars, cafes, fastfood, restaurants, video store and a place to do grocery shopping. Rail mall is usually where the people in my neighbourhood go for almost everything. It is a relatively new shopping centre there has not been much of a change accept a new coat of paint.

Interview with cold storage worker:

Diary Farm Nature park

Singapore quarry in 1982

Dairy Farm nature part is the newest park in Singapore, part of the part is located where the Singapore quarry and Dairy Farm Quarry used to be.

Singapore Quarry now

During the years when the singapore quarry were in action hundreds of trees were cut down and most of the flora and fauna in the area cleared by burning or just rolling them over with trucks. But since the quarry stop production the plants have came back.
Flowers are blooming in the park once again.

Plentiful of seeds can be found in the park.

A Travelogue for Tourists and Our Future Generations Done by Teh Howe Wee (21) From class s103

This is a travelogue is on my neighbourhood of Hillview.

Hillview was once a neighbourhood filled with HDB flats and factories, to a neighbourhood only condominiums, landed the property and the few remaining old factories.

Hillview is situated near Bukit Batok and Bukit Panjang both are larger and have more people living

there then in Hillview. Many people from overseas have chosen to stay in Hillview as they enjoy the facilities of the condominiums here.

With the new MRT being build in Hillview, this area is certain to get even more crowded.
